AZURASOFT ECO softener installation: 

The water softener must treat all water entering the house or other applications before any consumer. It shall be mounted on the cold water pipe, immediately after the water heater or pump and before the central heating plant and boiler. It is advisable to install a sediment filter before the softener. This will ensure your peace of mind and long trouble-free operation. Without a sediment filter, there is a risk that dirt in the water will clog the injectors and the channels through which the softener regenerates. It is not recommended to use softened water for watering your garden and plants. There is a certain amount of sodium in softened water that can affect plant growth and development. For this, ask your installer to install a tap in front of the water softener, where you can connect your garden hose.

Installation and commissioning of AZURASOFT ECO monobloc water softener:

On customer's request we provide installation and commissioning team. In case our customer wishes to realize the installation personally or with his own installer, this is possible. The AZURA FILTERS team offers installation diagram and technical book in Romanian. In addition, we guarantee technical assistance by phone and by e-mail until the equipment is installed and working at optimal parameters.

*at commissioning the customer must provide pill salt, minimum 25 kg (one bag). This salt can be found in major DIY stores and other retailers. On request we can recommend a salt supplier.

Bypass to isolate the softening station :

Any water treatment and filtration equipment should have a bypass. So should the softener station. In case of WS1CI valve softeners, the bypass comes separately and you can order it from our website. You can view the bypass by clicking on accessories on the current page. It is very important to have a bypass, in case service is required. This bypass can also be made by the plumber with three valves and mounting pipe.

Connection to the drain:

The drain for the softener shall be below the height of the softener when possible. Connection shall be made to a minimum 1" drain. The maximum distance between the softener and drain shall be no more than 20 feet.

Residual hardness adjustment:

Residual hardness refers to the hardness of the water after it has been treated and run through the softener. You may not want the hardness of your water to be below 1 degree German, which makes your water feel very soft. The manufacturer does not recommend a certain residual hardness. We recommend a residual hardness between 3 - 6 degrees German. If you would like this, please let our team know and ask us how you can adjust the residual hardness.

Warnings!

WS1CI Valved tube thimbles are not water filtering and purification systems for the purpose of producing drinking water. If the water that needs to be treated with our systems comes from the public water supply, then its quality will certainly be improved.

If the water has not been previously treated and does not come from the public network, being the source drilled or surface water, then a water analysis report is required from a physico-chemical and bacteriological point of view. Only by knowing all the parameters of the water can the right equipment be chosen for water potabilization. Contact us for a proper treatment of your water!

Other warnings:

Do not use the water softener with hot water, especially at temperatures above 36°C.

The temperature of the room where the softener is placed should be between 4°C - 45°C.

The system should not be installed in a damp room. Make sure that you have adequate ventilation where there is no moisture.

Recommendations for maintenance and sanitation

Sanitation - annually (by the service team)

Attention!

Increased sodium in water

Most of the sodium we consume comes from food. Because salt is an excellent preservative, it is added to food. The sodium consumed with water is relatively small compared to that in food. Even so, it is very important to always keep in mind that water softeners increase the sodium level in water compared to untreated water.

The maximum regulated level of sodium in the water is 200 mg/l (law no. 311 of June 28, 2014 amending and supplementing law no. 4208/2002 on drinking water quality). It is possible that in some cases the softener may add a higher sodium level than the regulated one. If this is the case or if there are people who are not allowed to consume salt, it is better to install a reverse osmosis filter in the kitchen.

All AZURASOFT ECO series softeners are covered by a three-year warranty against any manufacturing defects.

Water hardness analysis:

In case you do not know the hardness level of your water, please contact us by phone or email. If possible, we will come to you to perform a hardness test and if the distance is too far, you can send us 500 ml of water to test its hardness. Depending on the result of the analysis and other parameters requested by us, we will indicate you the suitable softener model.
