Filter cartridge containing 6 filtering technologies, built in 5 filtering layers:

Filter layers:

1. mechanical filtering layer - removes suspended particles, dirt, dirt, sand, rust;
2. granular activated carbon - eliminates chlorine, trihalomethane, herbicides, pesticides, organic substances - eliminates taste and odor of water;
3. calcium sulphite - removes - over 99.9% of free chlorine present in controlled water systems;
4. silver-plated granular activated carbon - with bacteriostatic/antibacterial effect - eliminates chlorine, trihalomethane, herbicides, pesticides, organic substances - eliminates taste and odor of water;
5. 0.1 micron ultrafiltration membrane - is used in many water filtration systems and is very efficient in filtering cryptosporidium and giardia chytrid, E-coli, bacteria and viruses.

Precautions in use:

• With each filter change, set the ionizer to the „purified water” button (no ionization) and let about 5-10 liters of water pass through the filters before consuming the first glass of water.
• The filters for the Biontech BTM-505N ionizer are highly efficient and made from materials approved for use with potable water. Do not use these filters and the water ionizer to make water from unsafe sources potable, especially if it has been tested and declared non-potable.
