What does AZURAECO3 Ozonator do?

Basically, this ozonator is installed before the water enters the washing machine. It works automatically and requires no intervention or permanent settings. The water simply passes through the ozonator and the ozonator "senses" the water flow and starts ozonating the water. The ozonated water will reach the washing machine. So you'll wash your clothes with ozone instead of detergent. For everyday clothes, you can do without detergent. For dungarees or work clothes, you can reduce detergent by at least 50%.

Why should you use AZURAECO3 ozonator instead of detergent?

Saving money is important. So is reducing wastewater pollution. But most important is your health and that of your family.

According to Cristina Safta, some detergents contain sodium lauryl sulfate, which is very harmful. The technological process of obtaining this sodium lauryl sulphate involves dioxin, a very risky ingredient that predisposes us to cancer. But these detergents also contain other chemicals that can cause contact dermatitis, respiratory problems and even asthma attacks.

According to the same source ("Health tip" with Andreea Gicolea), we should avoid as much as possible detergents with the following chemicals: diethanolamine - helps detergent to foam; 1,4-dioxane - listed as a carcinogen; artificial colorants; synthetic fragrances; UV/optical brighteners; sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) - foaming agent; phosphates; nonylphenol ethoxylate; benzene.

Advice on the quality of the water with which the AZURAECO3 ozonator will be used

• From a microbiological point of view, water can contain bacteria, because ozone is a powerful disinfectant;
• If the water contains iron or manganese above the maximum limit allowed by law, measures must be taken to filter out these contaminants before installing an ozone generator (this is not the case for water sources from the public water supply. But it may be the case for water sources from wells / boreholes).
• If the water is hard, we recommend softening the water with a volumetric softener or water conditioning with a TAC salt-free softener or with a electronic anti-scaling device. 

Installation tips Ozonator AZURAECO3

In the ozonator package you will find: a power supply, a screwdriver, dowels for wall mounting, wall mounting bracket, hose similar to the one you have on your washing machine.

Basically, the hose that you already have on your washing machine will feed the ozonator. From the ozonator, the water will come out through the hose that comes in the ozonator package. This hose will be connected between the ozonator and the washing machine. It is not absolutely necessary to call a professional installer, but you can do it if you wish. It is up to you.

Is it possible to install this ozonator in the kitchen for the water used to wash dishes, fruits and vegetables, meat?

Yes, you can do that if you wish. You will need two reductions from ¾" to 1/2" or 3/8". You will need a flexible hose and a Teflon tape. In this case, it is best to call a professional plumber.

Keep in mind that you will need an outlet in the ozonator area to be connected to it.

Should I be worried about electricity consumption?

Not at all, because electricity consumption is very low. Below you find a consumption simulation.

Which means that 36W / 1000 = 0.036 KW consumption per hour
0.036 / 60 min = 0.0006 kw/ 1 minute
Water consumption for a washing machine is ~60 L/ cycle.
This means that the ozonator works only 15 min per cycle (60 l / 4 liters per minute = 15 minutes)
15 minutes x 0.0006 kw = 0.0009 kw consumption per wash cycle
Price per 1 kw = ~1 leu
Result 1 leu x 0.0009 kw = 0.0009 lei / washing cycle
So if you have 3 washes per week => 0,0018 / week
One year is 52 weeks x 0.0018 lei = 0.0936 lei

This is the approximate cost in a year. Not significant with detergent consumption!

Are there consumables I need to change at a certain time?

There is nothing to change monthly or yearly. However, once every 3 years or so (depending on frequency of use), it is necessary to change the internal ozone producing unit. It is not a difficult operation but it requires disconnecting the unit from water and electricity. If you wish, once every three years you can send the appliance to our service center for this operation, but with a little willpower you can do it yourself.
