GRANULAR ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER MEDIUM 1 L

Quantity 1 liter of granular activated carbon (GAC). 

Where do we use and for what?

GAC is used in combination with automatic filters or with Big Blue filter housings. 

The applications of activated charcoal are multiple:

- chlorine removal for residential, commercial and industrial areas;
– eliminare materii organice, clor, trihalometan, benzen, cloroform, erbicide, pesticide, tricloretilena etc (peste 90 de substante chimice sunt filtered by GAC).

GAC operating conditions:

*The feed water must be free of oils or suspensions
*The feed water must be free of iron and turbidity for the longest possible running time
* pH range: works smoothly over a wide range
*Bed width: 20-30 inches
*Flow rate: 5 gpm/ sq.ft
*Flow required for backwashing: 10 - 12 gpm / sq.ft. (for automatic filters)
*Space for charcoal bed expansion: 30 - 40 % of bed depth (for automatic filters)

Precautions in use:

Do not use with microbiologically unsafe water. Do not use with bacteriologically contaminated water!
